Restoring Phonics is a 21st Century curriculum for classroom teachers who are attempting to help their dyslexic students read and spell. From the early 19th Century phonics has had a history of success with children who are learning to read. Restoring Phonics is a new approach of the proven method which equips teachers with creative tools to help students segment sounds for reading and spelling. Co-founders, Martha Dawson Haleem and Felicia Smith -- themselves experienced classroom teachers -- have created specific teaching scripts, techniques and student workbooks which eliminate "guessing" and provide students with a toolkit that insures academic success not achieved by current teaching methods.
