Martha Haleem is a certified dyslexia therapist (CALT) with a Masters, wife, dyslexic learner herself, and mother to a daughter who is also dyslexic she has a level of empathy being in both the shoes of the parent and the learner. She has a passion for helping dyslexic learners reach their full potential. With over a decade of experience in the field, Martha began her therapy career in Texas where she was trained at SMU with Felicia Smith and worked in private practice for many years before moving to the UK. Along with Felicia, Martha has created Restoring Phonics and expression of her knowledge from many therapy sessions and her own insight as a dyslexic learner. Her personal experience gives her a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges faced by dyslexic learners. Felicia Smith is a certified dyslexia therapist (CALT) with extensive experience in both public and private settings over the course of her 12 year career. She has gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with dyslexia and related learning differences. Her passion for helping these students reach their full potential drove her desire to create this curriculum with her long time colleague and friend Martha Haleem, which is designed to provide teachers with the tools and strategies they need to effectively support students with dyslexia and give students the guidance and practice to grow and excel now and in the future.
